Manic Monday
... no Prince
Last week ~ Idadi ~ asked me where are the Baker's Dozen. I told her she was making the assumption that I had 12 things of interest happen to me over the weekend. Well I may revisit the B12 in the near future but I had to share this morning's story.
Today was my first day in my new position at the day job. Needless to say I wanted to get the day off to a good start. When I woke up I hit the bathroom to do the morning shave and trim up the beard. After I was done I put the electric shaver in the recharger and grabbed the clippers to shape up the dome. Can't half step on day one! So I starter with my normal routine: start in the front... shave against grain for closer, even shave... I did the front, top part of my head and then the clippers started making this grumbling sound. I immediately knew what it was. I knew something broke inside the clippers. I removed the blade and saw that the head broke off the pivot, disabling it to move back and forth to cut. I wanted to freak (sorry, no pictures) because it was too early to find a barber and I couldn't go to work with a large batch of hair missing from the top right side of my head. After trying to fix it, losing a half hour in the process, I walked out of the bathroom, I rubbed my oily hands together as the clipper motor oil moistened my palms. I had to remove myself from the situation. I walked back in five minutes later, grabbed the shaver out the charger and shaved the rest of my head with my beard/mustache trimmer over the next 45 minutes. It hurt but it got the job done.
I wanted to take a pic this morning but I was too hurried. I took this one tonight when I got home. At least Mrs. KB made some jambalaya to make me feel better. Yum.
